Your Training
Stage One
Aircraft Control
This is where you'll learn most of your stick & rudder skills. Stage 1 of flight training with me will introduce you to the most basic but crucial flying skills. Your milestone by the end of stage 1 is your solo! This usually happens around the 10 hour mark. By soloing, you prove that you're now Pilot in Command and you're able to control your aircraft no matter what mother nature throws at you.
Stage Two
Navigation
Now that you know how to fly an airplane, you'll learn how to navigate somewhere. This is the most fun part of flight training and the least frustrating. You'll get to pick where we'll go and enjoy all the beautiful scenery that Southern California has to offer. Although extremely fun, Stage Two requires a lot of knowledge and flight plan calculation. This is where most of your technical knowledge will come from.
Your end of stage 2 milestone is to enjoy your solo long cross country on your own! You'll get to spend hours in the air going somewhere completely by yourself. These are memories that will stick with you for the rest of your life.
Stage Three
Checkride Prep
You already have all the knowledge, now it's time to shape it to satisfy a Designated Pilot Examiner. Passing a checkride is a science that requires practice and experience. We'll work on making sure you know what to say and when to say it, all while keeping yourself from digging holes that are hard to climb out of.
Your milestone here is the best of them all, by passing your checkride you become our newest certificated Private Pilot.
